Why avocado oil sits differently on skin

Most lotion on a supermarket shelf is built on mineral oil, which sits on the surface. Avocado oil behaves differently, and you can feel it within a week.

Most of what sits on a supermarket shelf is built on mineral oil. It works it seals moisture in but it does that by forming a film on top of the skin rather than going into it.

Avocado oil is high in oleic acid, which is closer to what skin produces itself. That is the whole reason it absorbs rather than sitting there, and it is why people who switch tend to notice it first on the backs of their hands and on their heels.

It is also why our lotion does not leave a sheen. Some people miss the sheen. Most do not.
